‘We can’t give up on him’: 15-year-old accused in deadly shooting of Bexar Co. teen has a dozen prior juvenile court appearances, to remain detained

SAN ANTONIO — A 15-year-old is facing charges after a shooting left another teen dead on the northeast side Friday morning, according to the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office.

Sheriff Javier Salazar said deputies received a call just before 11 a.m. about an injured boy who was found in the street at Woodlake Parkway and Lakeview Drive. Upon arrival, deputies discovered a 15-year-old with a gunshot wound to his upper body.

Salazar said the teenage victim was rushed to the hospital where he died from his injuries. He has not been identified at this time. Both the victim and detained teen were previously identified by the sheriff as being 14 years old…
