Buncombe County wants residents to help shape first Pedestrian Plan

ASHEVILLE, N.C. (828newsNOW) — Buncombe County is seeking residents to serve on a steering committee that will help shape the county’s first Pedestrian Plan, an effort aimed at improving walkability in unincorporated areas outside city limits.

The Buncombe County Board of Commissioners approved the formation of the committee on Oct. 7. Members will guide the planning process by reviewing public input, helping develop goals and recommendations and ensuring the final plan reflects the needs of local residents.
