Charlottesville to offer free energy-saving trees this fall

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) – Charlottesville’s energy-saving trees program is back this fall.

On October 24 and 25, people can pick up a free tree to plant at home. The city says it’s first-come, first-served, with a limit of one tree per household.

The program coordinator says these trees can help families save energy and cut down on utility bills…
