According to a notice the Standard ran in the September 30 issue from the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) is, “Extending the closure of the Cumberland boat ramp until January 31, 2026, to support additional equipment arriving by barge to the Cumberland Fossil Plant. TVA is building two new combustion turbines and two steam turbines on the Cumberland reservation to support America’s energy future and maintain reliable, resilient power to customers.” According to TVA.
