FORSYTH COUNTY, N.C. (WGHP) — Forsyth County commissioners are keeping a close eye on the state of Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools as it continues to battle a multimillion-dollar deficit.
The commission voted 5-2 to approve conditional forgiveness for the $5 million in debt the district owes it and provided the only financial assistance to date to pay back the state.
