Waldorf Man’s Attempt To Hide Behind A Fake Name Made Him Instantly Recognizable

WALDORF, Md. — A Waldorf man faces identity fraud and assault charges after allegedly providing a false name to officers who discovered him hiding behind a business, then allegedly spitting on a correctional officer hours later at the Charles County Detention Center, according to court records. Jerome Anthony Warren, 64, reportedly told deputies he was “Early Anthony Baltimore” when they found him lying between bushes at a Berry Road address on Sept. 11, 2025.

According to charging documents, deputies responded around 10:30 a.m. for a report of a suspicious person. The caller reportedly stated someone had been lying on the ground between bushes located at the rear of a business. Upon arrival, officers allegedly made contact with Warren, who provided the name “Early Anthony Baltimore” with a birth date of May 29, 1968.

Court records show Warren gave this information freely and without coercion. The Charles County Sheriff’s Office communications division reportedly informed officers that “Baltimore” was a false name previously associated with Warren. Communications also allegedly advised that Warren had an active arrest warrant, according to court filings…
