Petersburg’s Vernon Johns Middle School is back up and business as usual after a brief power outage that disrupted the school schedule on the morning of Oct. 13.
Chelsea Vongher, a spokesperson for the Petersburg City Public Schools, said electricity was restored to the school on Homestead Drive sometime after 11 a.m. According to a message PCPS sent to parents, the school went dark around 8:30 a.m., about an hour into the school day.
