OST conducts ‘Safe Homelands’ operation

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — The Oglala Sioux Tribe and several local and government officials conducted traffic stops over the holiday weekend during their “Safe Homelands” operation.

The operation led to the seizure of the following:

  • Alcoholic beverages that were illegally distributed
  • 1 stolen vehicle
  • 70 grams of meth (approximately)
  • 15 fentanyl pills
  • 3 concealed, 1 illegal gun
  • 2 suspects who are prohibited from possessing a gun
  • Money associated with the transactions of illegal narcotics

Individuals were processed and are facing charges for narcotics or other related criminal activity…
