An armed robbery in Dorchester led to a dramatic foot chase and the subsequent arrest of a 26-year-old man, Ezequiel Rodriguez, for firearms-related charges, as reported by the Boston Police. The incident unfolded last night when officers from District B-3 (Mattapan) and District C-11 (Dorchester) pursued two individuals after a report of an armed robbery in the area.
According to the Boston Police Department’s official release, the robbery in question occurred around 9:16 PM at 323 Washington Street, with the suspect described as a male dressed in a black ski mask, black top, and black pants. Officers patrolling nearby spotted two males walking on Harvard Street, one of whom was wearing a mask similar to the suspect’s description. Attempting to conduct an inquiry, both suspects fled on foot when approached by officers.
During the pursuit, wearing a “shiesty-style” mask, Rodriguez was noticed holding his waistband, suggesting he was carrying a hidden weight.
