MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA) – Jackson Hospital’s financial future remained uncertain Tuesday as representatives appear in federal bankruptcy court in downtown Montgomery.
Hospital officials are warning Jackson Hospital cannot stay open beyond the end of October without additional funding.
The bankruptcy court must approve any additional funding for the struggling facility. However, creditors willing to provide that funding are demanding more authority over the hospital’s operations, a proposal that has drawn opposition from the hospital’s bondholders…
