AUSTIN, TEXAS – A Texas homeowner expecting a late-night DoorDash delivery was stunned to find that their “porch pirate” wasn’t human at all — but a hungry opossum caught red-pawed on camera walking off with their dinner.

According to a post on Reddit’s r/Austin, the victim, user ToeCutterATX, said they were waiting for food from P. Terry’s Burger Stand when their home security camera caught a bald-tailed intruder creeping up to the front door.
The furry thief, later nicknamed the “Porch Pirate Possum,” carefully approached the bag, sniffed it, and — in a move worthy of a Mission Impossible remake — grabbed the food and dragged it off the porch.
