As videos of ICE operations circulate on social media, there’s a growing concern about ICE activity in Dallas. On Tuesday evening, Dallas Police Chief Daniel Comeaux addressed rumors about cooperation between Dallas Police and ICE during a meeting of the city’s Community Police Oversight Board.
Comeaux was explicit about how Dallas Police has, and hasn’t, participated in immigration enforcement.
“We have not been helping ICE on many investigations,” he said. “Now, if they call, like I said, we will cooperate and assist, and that is a rule from the City of Dallas.”…
