LINCOLN, HOLDREDGE & MINDEN, Neb. — Molina Healthcare of Nebraska, in collaboration with community organizations, has distributed 672 winter coats to children across six educational sites in Lincoln, Holdredge, Lexington and Minden. The initiative targeted traditionally underserved areas, including many Native American youths.
Trisha Harms, DNP, APRN, FNP-C, from the Carl T. Curtis Health Education Center, expressed gratitude for the donation. “Molina’s generous donation of coats will make a meaningful difference for Native youth in the community,” she said. “Beyond providing warmth, these coats help ensure children attend school, stay active in cultural and community events safely during the winter months. Molina’s gift eases financial hardships for families and shows the youth that they are cared for, supported and valued.”
Frank Clepper, plan president for Molina Healthcare of Nebraska, emphasized the company’s commitment to community welfare. “Molina is dedicated to making a positive impact in the communities we serve, and we are proud to partner with education-driven organizations to meet this need,” he said. “Warmth is a basic need but an important one that impacts many other determinants and of health.
