Longer security lines at New Orleans airport not related to government shutdown

NEW ORLEANS — Nearly two weeks into the government shutdown, air travelers are starting to feel the effects, though operations at Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport appear to be running smoothly for now.

Blake Houston and his family landed in New Orleans on Monday after flying through Baltimore.
