Once a firehouse, this swanky French Quarter home is now on the market for millions

What was once a firehouse in New Orleans’ French Quarter is now “Engine No. 7,” a swanky two-story home on Bienville Street now on the market for nearly $4 million.

While hurried firefighters may no longer be sprinting out of bed, down the pole and into the city to extinguish a blaze, the residence at 929 Bienville Street retains several of the characteristics of the former firehouse, including a gated apparatus door once used by fire trucks.
