Texas parents arrested for leaving infant unattended on Florida beach

WALTON COUNTY, Florida — A Houston couple faces child neglect charges after allegedly leaving their six-month-old unattended on a Miramar Beach for nearly an hour, according to the Walton County Sheriff’s Office. The incident occurred around noon on October 10, when deputies responded to reports of an unattended infant beneath a tent.

Witnesses informed deputies that the parents had walked down the beach with three other children, leaving the infant alone. Good Samaritans cared for the child and contacted law enforcement.
