The Las Vegas Athletics reached another milestone in their relocation efforts as the Clark County Zoning Commission approved a development agreement with the team on Oct. 9. The agreement sets building and height restrictions for the new $2 billion stadium due to its proximity to Harry Reid International Airport. The approval came exactly one year after the demolition of the Tropicana hotel, where the new stadium is now under construction.
The 30,000-capacity stadium is scheduled to launch in 2028, which is a big advancement in Major League Baseball’s presence in Las Vegas.
