HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — The City of Huntsville filed its formal response Monday opposing efforts to reopen a north side bar that was shut down by court order in September.
The response details ongoing public safety and code violations at the 708 Bar & Grille and supports keeping the injunction in place. The court is set to hear arguments on the motion Wednesday at 9 a.m.
The injunction closed the bar after the city presented evidence of repeated disturbances at the venue, including noise complaints, shootings, traffic disruption, and violations of alcohol and zoning laws.
