Recently, an argument between a Walmart employee and her supervisor at the Madison, Alabama location ended with the worker being fired. However, the reason for her termination has drawn a lot of attention to what many view as an impossibly strict system that punishes workers for simply being human and dealing with normal health problems.

@Walmart#madisonalabama Correct me if I’m wrong, but I got fired this morning from a Walmart in Madison Alabama because of the fact that I wanted my points taken off because I was sick. I’ve been feeling like I’ve been picked on ever since I’ve started working at that specific Walmart and it’s not even everybody .its from one specific coach. I don’t know what this Walmart or how this Walmart runs, but the fact that you can’t take points off because someone is sick and throwing up but you rather than be at work while they’re sick and throwing up and if they pass out, you say you go send them home with no point but the moment I turn around and say the same thing, but that I will be billing Walmart if I passed out now it’s a big problem and I’m terminated for this. Walmart is very weird and very racist. Because how can someone cuss opd out and still be working there? But i have medical issues and sick you fired them because you don’t like the response they gave you and then not only that the fact that I was up in there on days that I wasnt even supposed to be there but she don’t see the dedication. y’all please don’t ever work in this Walmart or even really shopping in this Walmart also they will not give me the corporate number. I had to go searching for it because the number they gave me was not the right one and if you hear me saying thank you, I was talking to another coach that was in the room with us…
