Give it a few years, and you too may end up moving to Liberty Hill. As more and more major brands turn their eyes to the tiny town northwest of Austin, it’s only a matter of time before said tiny town becomes one of Texas’ hottest suburbs.
The numbers back it up. According to World Population Review.com, Liberty Hill is the third-fastest growing city in Texas after going from 3,794 residents in 2020 to 14,850 in 2025. The tiny town’s population has grown 17.49% year over year, slightly behind Caddo Mills’ 17.59% and No. 1 Josephine’s 18.54% — Josephine and Caddo Mills are two neighboring communities east of Dallas.
Whether it was people looking to escape Austin home prices or simply desiring a life outside of the big city, Liberty Hill shows no sign of slowing down, and World Population Review predicts it will surpass 23,000 residents by 2029. Several multimillion-dollar housing projects have already filed with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, while major businesses and chains have also taken note and are planting footholds in the growing community…
