The New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) and Greyhound recently launched new intercity bus service in New Mexico that will run five days a week with one round trip daily.
The service will provide access to Navajo Transit and Red Apple Transit in Farmington and will include stops in Albuquerque, Bernalillo, Cuba, Farmington, N.M. and Durango, Colo. The Statewide Public Transportation Plan had identified a need for a route that would run between Albuquerque, Farmington, Bernalillo and Cuba into Durango. Residents in those areas who don’t own a vehicle were forced to rely on friends or family for transportation.
“We are proud to partner with Greyhound to provide this link between Farmington and Albuquerque and to connect with Red Apple Transit and Navajo Transit, our local partners in the New Mexico public transportation network,” NMDOT Secretary Ricky Serna said. “Affordable public transportation along long-distance corridors are essential to connect our communities and expand travel options.”…
