AVONDALE, Ariz. — Public safety officials say a West Valley resident has been identified as the driver who was killed early Monday morning in a crash on Interstate 10.
The single-vehicle collision was reported at about 4:45 a.m. near the 83rd Avenue off-ramp in Phoenix. A Jeep SUV entered the gore area of the off-ramp, hit a traffic sign and rolled over, according to the Arizona Department of Public Safety.
The vehicle’s driver was ejected and died at the scene. DPS have identified the deceased driver as 42-year-old Melody Ann Witherspoon of Avondale. No other occupants were inside the car…
