Peak Colors Arrive In The Blue Ridge Mountains

NORTH CAROLINA MOUNTAINS — There’s something magical about this time of year in the mountains. As autumn settles in, the region transforms into a canvas of brilliant reds, oranges and yellows stretching as far as the eye can see.

The fall foliage typically peaks mid October in the higher elevations, but the color show lasts into November as it moves down the slopes. This weekend, October 17th – 19th, color is at its peak across most of the North Carolina Mountains.
