CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – A day after the Greene County Sheriff announced that popular Ruckersville restaurant Miranda’s Grill would have its equipment seized and auctioned due to delinquent taxes, the establishment posted on its Facebook page that it is still open for business – and plans to stay open.
The sheriff’s department announced an Oct. 24 sale of restaurant equipment, kitchen appliances, prep tables and furniture at 8837 Seminole Trail in Ruckersville, indicating the property would be “seized under a lawful Distress/Seizure Warrant for Enforcement of Delinquent Taxes issued by order of the Treasurer of Greene County.”
Wednesday morning, Miranda’s posted on Facebook, “We are open. Come grab a delicious breakfast, lunch or dinner.”…
