Busy Tri-State road could get speed reduction help after series of crashes

READING, Ohio (WKRC) – Residents along Reading Road are calling for urgent safety measures following a series of crashes at the intersection of Reading and Galbraith roads.

Don Lykins, a local property owner, described the road as a “racetrack,” with vehicles often exceeding the 25 mph speed limit. Lykins, who has witnessed at least one crash per month, has been advocating for speed bumps for seven years.

The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) reports that 15,000 motorists use Reading Road daily, with 120 crashes resulting in injuries between 2020 and 2024…
