A man was robbed at gunpoint in West Hollywood in broad daylight on Oct. 10.
San Francisco resident Abram Cortez was visiting friends in West Hollywood and preparing to attend a Chappel Roan concert in Pasadena. He was walking outside in the 1100 block of Hacienda Place around 5:40 p.m. when a gray four-door sedan stopped on the street and three masked men dressed in all black clothing exited while a fourth man waited in the car. Two of the men were armed with handguns and a third with a crowbar, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. The suspects then pinned Cortez on the ground and robbed him of his wedding ring, a Rolex watch, two gold bracelets and other jewelry pieces valued at more than $10,000. The suspects reentered the car after about 30 seconds and fled the scene northbound on Hacienda Place.
Sgt. Robert Lim of the West Hollywood Sheriff’s Station said the station received information about robberies in Culver City and nearby parts of Los Angeles with similar vehicle and suspect descriptions but had no further information…
