San Jose Man Arrested for Alleged Carjacking, Evading Police in Morgan Hill

MORGAN HILL, CA — “On October 6, 2025, at about 5:26 p.m., Morgan Hill Police responded to a report of a carjacking in the 17000 block of Monterey Road. The victim told officers that as she walked toward her boyfriend’s white Dodge Ram truck, a man approached her, took her keys, and drove away in the vehicle.

Using the city’s automated license plate reader system, officers quickly located the stolen truck traveling north on Monterey Road near Cochrane Road. When officers tried to stop the vehicle near Monterey Road and Palm Avenue, the driver sped away. The suspect continued north on Monterey Road before driving off-road behind a home in the 9000 block.

The driver jumped out of the moving truck and ran. The truck, still in gear, rolled forward and hit a parked vehicle. Officers chased the suspect on foot and arrested him behind the residence. He was identified as Robert Cordova, 29 years old, from San Jose, who is currently on probation for firearm-related offenses…
