Pedestrian safety tests conducted ahead of Halloween

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — AAA announced they recently conducted a study on the feature in vehicles that detects pedestrians to avoid crashes.

With Halloween around the corner, local law enforcement is reminding drivers to stay aware as kids walk the streets.

“With National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s (NHTSA) Pedestrian Safety Awareness Month halfway through, the Norfolk Police Department is reminding residents —both drivers and pedestrians — to always stay alert and be cautious when using our roadways,” officials said…
