TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – It’s become an October tradition in Leon County — for the past nine years, during breast cancer awareness month, local first responders ditch their badges, and for one night, suit up in blazers and ballgowns.
It’s all part of the Leon County Sheriff’s Office’s event: “Patrol Stroll: All in for a Cure.” The first responders involved in the event have been fundraising for the American Cancer Society’s “Making Strides Against Breast Cancer” campaign.
