One person died after falling from a cell tower on the 3600 block of North 10th Street in Marion, IA last Friday, according to the Marion Fire Department who responded to the call and were the first on the scene. The Marion Deputy Fire Chief said the individual who had fallen from the tower was found at the site unconscious and bleeding.
A fire department official said CPR had already been initiated by others on-site but resuscitation efforts were “deemed unsuccessful” and the individual was pronounced deceased at the scene.The Marion Fire Department was assisted by Area Ambulance Service, LifeGuard Air Ambulance and the State Medical Examiner’s office.
