The Texas Board of Nursing has issued an Imposter Alert concerning a woman in El Paso and Las Cruces accused of fraudulently posing as a nurse, as reported by KVIA. The individual in question, Margarita Gonzalez, also known by variations of that name, allegedly used the license numbers and names of real nurses to attempt to gain employment at healthcare facilities, including Mountain View Nursing and Rehabilitation and AVIR at Patriot in El Paso.
Uncovered discrepancies in the credentials provided prompted two El Paso healthcare facilities to report the matter to the board. After Gonzalez accepted positions without providing direct patient care there, the Texas Board of Nursing confirmed in their Quarterly bulletin, as mentioned by KFOX-TV.
