A new civil lawsuit that details the death of a 50-year-old postal worker in the Dakota County Jail is raising renewed concerns about transparency in policing.
The family of Kingsley Bimpong is suing three Eagan police officers and seven Dakota County correctional officers, accusing them of ignoring signs that he was having a stroke and treating him instead as if he were under the influence.
Attorney Katie Bennett reviewed body-worn camera videos of the traffic stop and two-hour-long investigation before police took Bimpong to jail.
