The city says this transition will make using city transit more cost-efficient and help with growth in ridership. The transition will go into effect Monday, October 20, at 7:30 a.m. The new app will enhance rider experience by optimizing routes every 20 seconds based on traffic patterns, updating driver availability, ride cancellations, and rideshare schedules for dynamic routing, and will incorporate automated scheduling. The city says the new software is expected to result in $150,000 in annual savings.
