Three Reno students plead guilty in high school vandalism case

Three of the seven students charged with gross misdemeanors in the Reno High School vandalism case have pleaded guilty to avoid a jury trial.

Owen Shuff, Devyn Maaka, and Wylder May admitted to one count of gross misdemeanors for “damage of property used for educational purposes” during a court hearing on Oct. 13.

The charges arose from a senior prank that went wrong just weeks before the 2025 graduation festivities. The remaining four students could also plead guilty in the coming days. The three students are set to be sentenced on Dec. 15 at 9 a.m…
