Saturday storm threat shifting south

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) -Another sunny and pleasant day Wednesday as highs peaked around 80 degrees under mostly sunny skies. Mostly clear overnight with lows in the upper 40s on Thursday morning. Clouds will overspread the Tri-State on Friday as a cold front approaches from the west. South winds will gust to 30 mph on Saturday as more humid air flows in ahead of the cold front. A few strong storms and widespread rainfall are likely Saturday afternoon and evening. The main area for possible severe weather has shifted south of the Tri-State, although a few storms may produce large hail and damaging winds.
