State contracted group didn’t alert HHS prior to 20-month-old’s death in Vinton

VINTON, Iowa (KCRG) – The death of a 20-month-old in Vinton more than a year ago is raising questions of why more wasn’t done to protect the child.

A state contracted group was doing home visits reported it did find red flags, but a criminal complaint said no action was taken.
