Smart watch call traced to Pflugerville residence leads to arrest, multiple felony charges

AUSTIN (KXAN) — A 911 call from a smart watch tipped police off after two women discovered a stranger inside their Pflugerville home who, according to an arrest affidavit, robbed them both and sexually assaulted one at gunpoint. A man was arrested Oct. 8 and charged with nine felonies related to aggravated robbery, kidnapping and sexual assault in Pflugerville.

According to Travis County court documents, 28-year-old Dominic Jamal Rhodes has been charged with the following:

  • two counts of aggravated robbery
  • two counts of aggravated kidnapping
  • aggravated sexual assault
  • burglary habitation intend other felony
  • unlawful restraint of a public servant
  • theft of a firearm
  • tampering/fabricating physical evidence
