Albuquerque, NM – A sweeping crime operation across Bernalillo County has led to over 1,400 arrests and the seizure of more than 116,000 fentanyl pills, according to the Bernalillo County District Attorney’s Office.
The initiative, dubbed “Operation Route 66,” launched in February 2025 and brings together multiple law enforcement agencies including the New Mexico State Police, Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Department, New Mexico Corrections Probation & Parole, and the Albuquerque Police Department.
