MULTNOMAH COUNTY, Ore. – A high-visibility public safety mission by the Transit Police on Thursday, October 9, 2025, resulted in 28 arrests and the reversal of a potential drug overdose in the Hazelwood neighborhood of Portland.
The seven-hour operation brought together over 20 officers and deputies from the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office, Portland Police Bureau, and the Port of Portland Police Department. The team focused on addressing crime on and around TriMet platforms and bus stops, primarily along Northeast 122nd Avenue.
During the mission, officers located a man using drugs who became unresponsive. Recognizing the signs of an overdose, they administered Naloxone and the man was transported to a hospital.
