“Operation halftime” takes 37 pounds of cocaine off the streets

AMERICUS, Ga. (WALB) – A 10-month-long investigation led to several arrests across the state.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) operation, known as “Operation Halftime,” ended on Friday, Oct. 10.

Eight warrants were issued for men in Sumter, Webster, Fulton, Henry and Dougherty counties. Seventeen kilograms, or roughly 37 pounds, of suspected cocaine, along with 10 firearms, were seized in the investigation…
