A baby kangaroo recently hopped into Athens, Ala., and straight into the hearts of local residents.
The adorable joey named Scarlett will be the star of a movie called “Kangaroo Christmas” that was filmed in and around Athens, Huntsville’s Limestone County neighbor and home to about 32,000 people. Filming wrapped Oct. 12, 2025.
