ROANOKE, Va. (WDBJ) – Neighbors in Northwest Roanoke say a broken connector trail is making everyday travel more difficult.
A bridge along the Lick Run Greenway at mile marker 3.1 has been out of service for more than two months. The closure cuts off a popular route that connects Norris Drive Northwest to the greenway, a path many people use to walk or bike to Valley View Mall and nearby jobs.
According to the City of Roanoke Parks and Recreation, the bridge was dislodged during a flash flood August 22. Crews say repairs require the use of a crane, which has delayed the process…
