PASCO COUNTY, Fla. – A chain-reaction collision involving five vehicles, including a flatbed commercial truck, snarled southbound Interstate 75 traffic this morning, resulting in non-life-threatening injuries to all drivers involved and the temporary closure of lanes.
The crash occurred south of State Road 54 (SR-54) when a vehicle in the center lane was reportedly slowing or stopped without its lights activated, awaiting a lane change. As a second vehicle approached, its driver swerved into the outside lane to avoid a direct impact, initiating the multi-car pileup.
Ultimately, all five vehicles collided. Among them was a flatbed single-unit commercial vehicle, which overturned during the sequence of crashes.
