Police find car after deadly hit-and-run crash in east Las Vegas valley

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Police found the car involved in a hit-and-run crash that left a 46-year-old man dead on Wednesday night in the east Las Vegas valley.

Around 10:20 p.m., Las Vegas Metropolitan police responded to the area of Stewart Avenue and Pecos Road after a report of a pedestrian being hit.

Police stated that the vehicle, as described by witnesses and captured on video surveillance, was a white Chevrolet Malibu. The car was traveling eastbound on Stewart Avenue, approaching Mojave Road, when it struck the pedestrian in a marked crosswalk. The driver of the Malibu fled the scene.
