ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) – Alaska legislative leaders are calling on Gov. Mike Dunleavy to develop a long-term recovery plan for the thousands displaced by former Typhoon Halong, saying current shelter arrangements are inadequate.
In a letter sent this week, legislative leadership commended the administration’s rescue and evacuation efforts, they also said they “were just the first step in a very long recovery effort.”
