FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WFFT) β Mayor Sharon Tucker, residents, and business owners celebrated the completion of the Fairfax Avenue Reconstruction Project with a ribbon-cutting ceremony in the Mount Vernon Park Neighborhood.
The project upgraded Fairfax Avenue between Hanna Street and Gaywood Drive, replacing the chip and seal street with asphalt. Improvements included new curbs, ADA curb ramps, sidewalks, drive approaches, street lighting, and storm inlets. The Public Works Division collaborated with Bridge of Grace Ministries and Fort Wayne Community Schools to align the project with recent area investments.
