‘Definitely makes you think twice’ | Newburg neighbors saddened by loss after one dies from house fire

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — In a quiet Newburg neighborhood, the remnants of a fatal house fire can be seen from the front lawn, damaged from a blaze on Tuesday morning.

Firefighters rescued a person from a home in the 4200 block of Monticello Avenue a little after 7 a.m. They were taken to the hospital. The Fern Creek Fire Department said this person died in the hospital, Wednesday from injuries sustained in the fire.
