Details released on western NC plane crash that killed Grammy-winning songwriter Brett James

FRANKLIN, N.C. (FOX Carolina) – The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) released the preliminary report on a plane crash that killed Grammy Award-winning songwriter Brett James and two others in western North Carolina.

According to the report, the plane departed from John C. Tune Airport in Nashville, TN and crashed in Macon County, NC just before 3 p.m. on Sept. 18. It was a personal flight being flown by a private pilot.
