Murder conviction for man who shot 4 people on N.J. sidewalk

An Irvington man who opened fire on a group of people on a sidewalk in Newark has been convicted of murder and other charges following a six-day trial, according to the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office.

Antuane Gregory, 46, was convicted of first-degree murder in the death of Corey Beasley, 43, of Newark, who was shot four times about 7:30 p.m. on April 15, 2023, in the 400 block of Leslie Street, authorities said.

The jury also convicted Gregory of two counts of first-degree attempted murder, three counts of second-degree aggravated assault and several weapons offenses, according to Essex County Prosecutor Theodore N. Stephens II…
