Santorini is coming to St. Pete as soon as this November. Mythos Greek Bistro is soon finishing renovations ahead of its opening at 2501 Central Avenue. Owners say the new restaurant and bar will bring modern Greek cuisine and Mediterranean island vibes to the indoor/outdoor space.
The building was most recently home to Salty Nun, which closed earlier this year. The renovations by Mythos include an updated outdoor bar, a revamped interior, and bright blues and whites throughout – the traditional Greek colors. Even the outdoor pergolas will be lined with hand-painted Greek art.
Upon opening, Mythos will be one of the few true Greek restaurants in the St. Pete area. Their head chef is a Greece native who has spent the last 20+ years in Miami as a chef preparing Greek staples and modern twists on the classics. Owners say to expect traditional Greek dishes as well as updated takes on Mediterranean favorites. Guests can enjoy full dishes like lamb chops with roasted potatoes, as well as shareable plates and apps. They will also have desserts baked fresh daily.
Mythos will also feature a full cocktail bar with a mix of American standards and Greek essentials. They plan for regular live performances on weekends, including Greek music and artists, as well as DJs. They also plan for hookah and will be open late for drinks…
